Editor's Corner
Wow, two months gone already? I will try to do better.

Many thanks to Lyle and Francie for keeping the fire burning. The membership drive email from them a few weeks ago was helpful. The membership climbed from only 17 who had paid to 29. We are almost to our previous level of 32 members last year. We should extend a big welcome two our new members:

Howard & Janeen Battan, Anacortes with a'79 MGB and '57 MGA
Darrell & Jeannie Pitts, Bellingham

New Blower for the Gster
Yes, I finally made a decision between the V6 conversion and the Moss blower kit. With Andy's and Spike's expert assistance, we had the Eaton-manufactured supercharger kit it in the car in less that four hours! It was slick as a whistle. We had to swap out my mechanical advance Mallory distributor though. We just could not get the detonation to go away. A factory vacuum advance unit from a 69 'B' did the trick. I added a Pertronix point kit and she was purrin like a kitten. The idle is fabulous turning smoothly at 750 rpms.

After awhile, it seemed that there was still some pinging at higher revs so Andy found this really cool electronic distributor that has like 16 preset curves. All you have to do is pop it out and turn a screw undeneath to select a curve.A bonus for this unit is that there us enough clearance to get one whole flat of the wrench at a time on the clamp nut. No
more flipping the wrench every 12th turn!

Finally, we even took her up to Meridian Performance in Lyden and stuck her on their Dyno. She went from the factory 67 horses at the wheels to a whopping 95! That is a 42% increase! Both Andy and I were and still are, duly impressed. Check out the pictures.

WELCOME Y'ALL!!!

Minter Gardens Tour - by Lyle and Francie Jacobson
The tour was lead by Rodger Rude, Carol Leberge, Herb and
Evelyn Strasler. Only five cars showed up for the start in Sedro-Woolley, three were members. We picked up two more members in Bellingham. We didn't go all the way to Canada, because we had something else we had to do in the afternoon. Rodger said he would
take some pictures in canada and email them to Eric so he can put them on the web site. [note from Eric - haven't seen those yet Rodger]

Tour and ice cream social July 24th.
We'll meet at the Burlington High School parking lot at 11:00am. The tour will end up at Lyle & Francie's house. Bring a picnic lunch, and your swimsuits. The club will furnish the ice cream and toppings, etc.

RSVP by July 21st so we'll know how much ice cream to buy. If your MG is not running, just drive what ever does run.
