The all British Field Meet held at Bellevue C. C.
by Lyle and Francie Jacobson
If you have never been to an all british field meet, you have missed seeing
some very fine English cars, of all sizes, shapes and colors. There were
four members entered and three won an award that I heard of.. I missed
some of the awards. Several other members attended as well.
Guy and Carita Boswell who have recently rejoined the club got one of
the awards, but I think it was for their Jag., not the MGA.
In the V8 conversion class there were 8 cars, 7 B’s and 1 A, Bill
Jacobson got first,
Dad, was second. It was a very tough class as all were really nice cars.
You should go next year, as there is a swap meet in the lower lot. If
you have a project under way, that is as good place to find parts that
are not available new.
July tour and Ice Cream Social
by Lyle and Francie Jacobson
The July Tour saw us with a great turnout, there were 8,B’s 1, A,
& 2 C’s .
We had to contend with some heavy traffic leaving the parking lot so the
first
four cars went on the tour as planned. The rest followed Bill who leading
a longer but equally nice route. Fortunately, everyone ended up in the
same place. Frank and Margaret Travis had to help a friend with a medical
emergency and met us for the Ice Cream Social.
We had two of our new members come on the tour. That was great to see
as
they got to visit with some of us old timers. I hope this starts a trend
of good turn outs.

Travis will lead this Tour and picnic Saturday, August 20th. The Bellingham
