News Editor Heads South for the Winter!

Yes, my faithful readers it’s true, it’s that time of year where Donna and I pack up the motor home and head for the sunny skies of southern California. We could use a little rest and relaxation and most of all we need to dry out from another Washington winter! However, don’t you worry, I am always virtually here online. The laptop computer always travel’s with me. I will create our next newsletter from just a little further south! If you need to contact me just send me an e-mail, don’t bother calling me because we’ll be gone till sometime mid April! Just remember I am always just an e-mail away!

V P March 1st Chuckanut & Samish Tour

We plan to meet at the Lake Samish, North Shore Texaco at Exit 246. I figure if you need gas or a cup of coffee there ya go. The starting time is 10:00AM. We will drive around the Lake and hit the back roads to Padilla Bay Interpitation Center. Bring your own lunch. Look around a bit and eat there, back on the road through Edison to Chuckanut Drive. We will follow the Old Samish Hwy back to Lake Samish; go around the Lake on the Freeway side to Skagit Casino. We will end the tour at the Casino. Eat, drink, gamble and leave whenever you like.

If you are a tour leader in the months of March, April and May please send to your editor the guide lines as to starting place, general area of the tour, lunch or picnic, ending time and place of tour.

Another Successful Pizza Extravaganza

Our annual planning meeting and pizza feed was a huge success! We had well over twenty members attend and consumed lots of free pizza. Our worthy president organized and shared with the club the tour and event dates through fall of 2003. It was also announced that dues will be due in April so that a roster maybe made early in May. Please get your dues in! The following dates were officially put on the schedule.
